West Indies won the World Series Cup by having a tied match with Australia in the Second Final and defeating them by 6 wickets in the Third Final.Earlier West Indies had won the First Final by 9 wickets.
The victory by West Indies in the Third Final showed the real strength of the West Indies team, for with both Lloyd and Richards injured Gus Logie(88) and Jeff Dujon(82*) demonstrated with forceful batting and swift running between the wickets that they were able to completely outplay Australia.
